I can understand why newbie 2019 entrant might have this perspective (no offense). Us crypto boomers who have been working with lawmakers, regulators and law enforcement since <2011 have a different perspective: we've been cooperating, working very hard to pave the way all along.

Have you felt a shift in the power dynamic? I bet in the early days you were treated like a supplicant. Are things different, or just different faces on the other side of the table?

Politicians are paying attention in a way they weren't 10 years ago. They largely still don't understand Bitcoin but at least they understand they should care about it. There's a real crypto constituency now and the industry is heavily financed. We have a lot more power now.
