I really don’t mean to dump on this place, but there’s also an onboarding memo about a mysterious 10% markup, but all coupled to sweet-sounding ideology.
It’s kind of like the CA income tax.

Seeing this more often. Super scammy, horrible UX. Forces customers to do the math to get to actual, all-in price at each venue, like shopping for a phone plan. Why not just make every item $1 with a 2000% service charge? I’m sure it the staff get screwed out of tips as well.
It's funny how they say "in an effort to improve transparency" and what they actually do is reduce transparency. The most transparent way would have been to raise the prices. I guess in 2020s the words mean the opposite of what they used to mean.
