Some job candidates check my tweets for political views. My tweets are mostly about dangerously stupid/evil govts and crypto. It's not a great format for nuance though. Would it be good or bad for recruiting to set up a sort of campaign site that lays out all my views in detail?

Cool! Great question. We've hired a lot of people who I disagree with on certain topics. It doesn't matter because we are on the same team, with the same goals at work. If I thought someone's personal views would lead them to selfishly sabotage the team, I would not hire them.

I think you just answered your own question. Not sure why your personal views on political matters would or should be relevant to a candidate. It’s not like Kraken is a small mom & pop shop where one person’s personal views will directly impact all company culture.

I suppose. I've disagreed with several of your tweets on matters unrelated to crypto, but not once have I ever thought those disagreements would be good reason not to work at Kraken if the opportunity arose that seemed like a good fit so this stuff wouldn't seem pertinent to me.

But your point about how you may deal with moral ambiguity is a good one, and I suppose that might be important information for some people...but it's not like they likely have access to this info from other CEOs, so not sure if that's an advantage or disadvantage for you.

I will say that if a CEO ever advertised that their favorite movie was Office Space I might volunteer to work for them for free....
