People living in Miami and other cities where new skyrise condo buildings are constantly coming online: how’s resale value? How do you buy when there’s always something better, newer around the corner? Do you just upgrade every year like a new iPhone?

Imo, no point buying a condo today. You don’t really own them - the condo association controls everything about them, including your ownership rights. Houses on the other hand - might be new stuff built but not at same location.

Good point. I was looking into condos just the other day and came to the same conclusion

Spent way too much time over the years worrying about the value of my real estate, I lived in places i didnt like as a real estate play to store value. Today we have BTC, focus on happiness living in a crib over the next trade. You love the place, bet it will do fine value wise.

Buildings are depreciating assets.
Land is an appreciating asset.
As an investment land > apartment

The value of a house is
Apprection of land minus depreciation of building = value

With new buildings coming up, it means it's not too much regulation and strict zoning. You want to own in a place like that.
Speaking for Dubai, it's priced in that new buildings will come up, and one gets much more for the money than elsewhere. And no tax on crypto is another +

No personal experience with this, but ultimately isn't a square foot = a square foot in this scenario? 🤔

In the sense that a USD is a USD, yeah I guess
But when it keeps getting inflated..
