Unpopular opinion: these pops and dumps - even if they are sometimes caused by market manipulators - make the whole system more efficient and resilient to attacks & exploits. No one in crypto wants to rely on decaying states and their regulators vs battle-tested anti-fragility.

The "manipulator" can't buy if you're not selling, can't sell if you're not buying. I'd argue that it's not actually the obvious & predictable market games that are the problem. The problem is the mental manipulations on people who don't DYOR and trade fundamentals. see also: MSM

I agree. But even taking the worst of what’s implied/reported…better than the “regulated” market.

For sure because "regulated" gives people a false sense of security, which I think leads to more unexpected outcomes. If you assume no rules, you are prepared for it. If you assume rules that aren't actually enforced or applied equally, you are more likely to get rekt.
