Do I just have bad luck or has the quality of experience at restaurants become a crap shoot in the last few months? It's like half the people with any sense of professionalism and hospitality bailed and were replaced by people who hate their jobs but hate customers more.

Have a friend who owns a restaurant. It is REALLY hard to find good help post-pandemic. People feel entitled or just do the bare minimum. Doesn’t get a lot of candidates either because people would rather stay at home and collect a stimulus check or have fears around covi19.

This is why UBI worries me. If you have Internet for entertainment, you can get by on very little. Lots of able-bodied people removed from the workforce. Nobody will have savings. Min wage will have to be like $50/hr to clear the hurdle of being worth it vs not working.

Stimmies aren’t coming anymore (at least where I live) but when you’re a customer, show some appreciation for the person bringing your food. Doesn’t have to be $. Tip 20% and look your server in the eyes and thank them for doing what they do. It means more than you could know
