I hope Australians realize how much value is being destroyed by the country’s authoritarian policies. Remote employment opportunities with foreign companies are disappearing. Business acquisitions are deemed too risky by foreign buyers. Engineers are forced to emigrate for jobs.

I agree with the general sentiment, Jesse. But let's put things into perspective. We're in the middle of the largest global conflict of our lifetimes where the stakes are basically *everything*...and you are concerned about foreign telecommuting and acquisition opportunities?

I’m concerned about what these problems mean, where they lead. Let me put it this way: The only reason we still have people in Australia at this point is because Australian people are increasingly in need of an escape hatch. It’s boots on the ground in a war zone.
