That's ~$20k/person. Isn't community college like $1000/yr? 300,000 seems like a lot of people to have become severely disabled. Were these loans given to people who were already severely disabled?
I'm all for bailing out victims of the college debt scam but these numbers ???

I'm curious though because it sounds like loans might have been given after a person became disabled, with the knowledge that they'd never be able to work or repay. Why make these loans?
