In 2001 D2, farming Meph earned you about $25/hr but there was a great arb with SoJs between in-game value and eBay price. You could buy SoJs on ebay for $5, trade them in-game for an item that you could sell on eBay for $30. That didn't last long as duping and botting advanced.
