From a pure tech point of view I wonder if and (and possibly others) get penalized in this stat having a different website structure.

is reported having 3.9M

* but here you see 1.28M more similarweb.com/website/tradin
* and is built with many sub-domains (setting, movement, pulse, ...)
* uses a lot trade.kraken.com and similar approach
* other competitors use a sub-directory approach (xxx.yyy/....)

* I'm not familiar with internal similarweb algos to understand if they aggregate for the entire domain, but from what I have been seeing historically (maybe I'm wrong) it could not be the case.

This thread is not meant to be a polemic towards competitors that did an amazing work to get more traction (you can see anyway in terms of % increase).
But it might be the case that ranking is not 100% correct for the above reasons.

Replying to
Rankings could also be indicative of sophistication of user base. If your users are smart enough to not install tracker plugins, browse privately, block ads, use vpns, etc. they might not be counted.
