Best thing would be to scratch the crypto stuff entirely but for a bunch of reasons related to this mind boggling broken process, the Lummis amendment is our best hope.
@SenLummis
is one of our few champions in government. It’s not her fault that we are between bad and worse.

I'm not convinced. I'm seeing
@SenLummis
lying to the public that her amendment "promotes innovation" when it does no such thing. Silver lining: Lummis has helped create such a boondoggle that *maybe* the entire provision will be stricken to push the bill forward. Unlikely, yes.

The only reason I've heard that striking the provision is unattainable is that key Dems and Reps will not vote for the a $1 Trillion bill with a $28 Billion shortfall. That's not our problem. They print $28 Billion into existence every few hours.
