The good Senator is playing dishonest politics. The Wyden-Lummis-Toomey amendment does *nothing* to "promote innovation" and is in fact co-sponsored by anti-Bitcoin Senator . Strike the provision.

The White House-supported Warner amendment still doesn’t protect software developers. It makes it possible for regulators to choose winners & losers instead of letting the marketplace make that decision. The Wyden-Lummis-Toomey amendment is tech-neutral and promotes innovation.

Right now, supporters of crypto & blockchain are LOSING this fight that will define crypto’s future. That’s why I’m proud to cosponsor the @RonWyden, @SenLummis, @SenToomey crypto amendment. It’s a major improvement over what is in the underlying bill & a must pass amendment.

Was just reading that, thanks. Still a huge strategic mistake you everyone in DC. And Ron Wyden is still anti-Bitcoin.

At least Cruz still has the sense to keep his amendment as a fallback when all these goofballs are done bungling it. Best move now is to reject everything, same as before.

Given the major flaws in the underlying bill’s unworkable and devastating crypto provision, I also filed a separate amendment to strike the whole thing, in the event a bipartisan deal can’t be reached. We have to act now to stop this.
