In fairness, half the stuff he cites sounds like legitimate infra spending. Infra isn't just highways and bridges. 🤦‍♂️

Sure but it’s not just about whether the spend can be allocated to the infra bucket, it’s also about whether it’s a good idea and whether the price is remotely reasonable. A lot of the infra spending looks like handouts to buddies. $50m where it seems like $1m should suffice.

I had an ex Nasa contractor once tell me years ago for a non critical part on a satellite, they ordered a “special” screwdriver for $100 (this is in the 70s) which turned out to be a regular Philips screwdriver.

How are you judging that the price isn't worth it? Or reasonable? Invasive plant species across all of fucking America takes 1 mil? That's a lowball if I've ever heard one. 250 million for a roughly 60 billion dollar problem doesn't sound unreasonable does it?
