Serious question, everybody has the right to have a pair of shoes but do they all have the right to $200 Nikes? Is this different? Everyone should have housing but why should they be housed in some of the planets most expensive land? Is that wise?

Of the 31k units of housing that SF built over last 10 years, over half (17k) were built in D6. Over half of those under construction or entitled units also D6. We will continue to build housing, incl affordable housing, but we need every neighborhood in SF to do their share.

Right. We can build 10+ units of "affordable housing" in most of America for the cost of 1 unit in SF. If you can afford housing, live wherever you want. If you want my tax dollars to buy you a house, you're going to have to live somewhere cheap(er).

Myth: Unless Big Brother takes over the economy, our cities will be without teachers & waiters. Reality: All cities have teachers and waiters, and if housing becomes too high for people to afford, prices will fall. % of SF teachers/waiters that commute 4 hours/day? Zero.
