How do I stop people from sharing my contact info with apps that make sharing your entire contacts db a requirement for using the app? I like the photos access feature that lets you share only selected photos. Personally, I use a phone with no contacts to test these apps out.

You can't. That's the beauty of this trick I guess. We all know how to separate our real contact from the one we use for mailing lists etc. but you can't use disposable contacts with all your friends and family, and one of them will be your point of vulnerabilty. Spring cleanup?

One option is to actually create your account in that service so at least that you control what's there, possibly even you can close it definitely (GDPR etc) but it won't prevent them to add you on the map of your network even invisible, as Facebook did IIRC.

Another is to compartment your contacts. Close friends and family you can educate have one address and phone number, others have another one that you can clean from time to time.
