People of Austin, TX, what’s the situation with the street camping? Is Prop B going to pass? Thinking about a move but would never live in another city where filth and dangerously unstable people are allowed to run unchecked after seeing the devastation in SF and Venice, CA.

It’s sort of not Austin’s problem. One-way bus tickets to CA. Exile is an alternative to prison. If it’s like CA, there are way more beds than there are people willing to follow the rules to get one. People stick to the streets to live free and do drugs. Need mass rehab far away.

How could you possibly know this? Seems more likely that drug abuse is a symptom of homelessness as much as it may be a cause.

I know of plenty of homeless who don’t do drugs, and are just homeless. Stop stigmatizing these people. They are human beings.

IKR. Cold as fook. I wonder if he has any self awareness that the SF tech scene is playing apart in the “filth and homelessness” that he seems to attest? Also find it funny he has “ideas” to fix it BUT needs to make more $$ first and it’s a “national” problem!
