The problem is that "I mistook gun for taser" is even an option. Why do you need to bring a gun to a discussion about missing tags? Leave it in the car. Why are cops handling basic welfare/fix-it issues at all? Parking enforcement gets by with pepper spray. Let them handle it.

Tasers look and feel different from pistols, and most police forces have protocols to prevent a mix-up. So how could the officer who shot Daunte Wright in Minnesota on Sunday grab her gun instead of her Taser, as the police chief said? nyti.ms/3uLVpEj

This was a wanted person for assalt & battery, this wasn't a "parking ticket" situation. Of course cops are scared for their lives (check what just happened in NM). The woman cop is 100% wrong but anytime you decide to fight the police you bring chaos into the situation

Well yes if you have a warrant against you, you risk being imprisoned. If you resist arrest you risk something worse. A person with warrant or drugs, put "themselves" in that situation. Your narrative seems to take the personal agency/responsibility away from that person

No he’s saying that even in the cops mind it’s that every time because of their prejudices. Been a number of times I get pulled over searched & let go because they think I am cartel or smuggling drugs. I wouldn’t be pulled over or be in a life or death situation by a meter maid.
