There are several unbiased sources out there discussing this. The problem with the conversation is that people seem to believe you can't be pro-crypto while also being concerned about the environment which is objectively untrue in my case.

The problem is that the whole debate is a straw man. People use energy for all sorts of completely worthless things. If they bought the energy fair and square, it’s up to them what to spend it on. If the issue is that energy is too cheap, let’s talk about that.
