Since when is anything that uses electricity evil? Should we survey the ROI on every industry or just shut down the Internet and power plants, and roll civilization back to the stone age? Maybe energy is underpriced. That's not the consumer's problem. Crypto is net positive.

Ya, if the problem is dirty energy production, it's up to governments to raise taxes. By the time energy is purchased by the consumer, it's too late to complain about what they use it on. Are potatoes bad because they're cheap fuel for criminals? Narrative is from scared banks.

Agree. It might be another example of the solution being worse than the problem. Possible because not all consequences are measured/valued equally. If you only look at impact on the atmosphere and not wildlife, you can make some terrible trades. Impact of fiat is not measured.

"Clean" is subjective. Cleaning my hands is killing bacteria. How disposable is the waste, who/what does it affect? Modern nuclear is extremely clean and safe though politically unpopular, probably in large part due to lobbying by legacy energy industry.
