Since when is anything that uses electricity evil? Should we survey the ROI on every industry or just shut down the Internet and power plants, and roll civilization back to the stone age? Maybe energy is underpriced. That's not the consumer's problem. Crypto is net positive.

Energy is not created, only transferred. I see the day where heat from the mining kits is transferred back into electricity and sold back to the grid.

Agree. It might be another example of the solution being worse than the problem. Possible because not all consequences are measured/valued equally. If you only look at impact on the atmosphere and not wildlife, you can make some terrible trades. Impact of fiat is not measured.
