Today's market crash is brought to you by Kraken's malfunctioning trade matching engine.

Hi Kevin, I'm a fan of but don't you think it's irresponsible to make misleading, disparaging and libelous statements on the basis of your own speculation, without any direct information? I'm sure you can think of a plausible alternative. Hope you issue a correction.

What do you mean? I’m not disputing the accuracy of the chart.

I mean what caused it if the matching engine didn't fail?

What caused order to match? Buyers and sellers agreeing on a price.

At what, 50% lower than any other exchange???

Markets are all independent in crypto. There is no centralized monopoly like you have in equities. I bought a whole pineapple in Cambodia for $0.25. Same pineapple $3 in California.

It sounds like you want to be the "3rd world" crypto exchange. What kind of a response is this? Way to bring confidence to your trading platform. "Our prices may be 50% lower than other exchanges at any given time, welcome aboard."

Our prices may be 100% lower, or 10000% higher than any other exchange at any given time. Liquidity is not guaranteed on either side. It's up to the users to make bids and asks. That goes for every exchange who doesn't have a monopoly on trading a particular asset.
If only your users could have logged on to supply liquidity, but your API was suspiciously down at the same time, inhibiting such actions... weird stuff dood. "mAxImUm LiQiDiTy"
