Privacy is a constitutional right, not a crime. It's deeply disappointing to see exchanges remove assets just because they have privacy-preserving features. There's no law or regulation requiring this, just DOJ's opinion that privacy is "indicative of possible criminal conduct."

It could just be a partner with significantly lower risk tolerance, not a true existential threat. That's been an issue for crypto companies maintaining banking relationships for a long time. But even then, the problem is still downstream of a regulatory compliance concern.
