The PIVOT bed is a Murphy bed that folds up into a “home gym” — ie, can support a power rack.

This is awesome because the gym is usually closed at 2am when I feel like repping out some clean & jerks before bed. Hope the guy downstairs doesn't mind.

They claim to have a unique floor protecting mat that ships with the bed, but to your point I’m not sure it’s soundproof at all 😂

It's pretty cool if you are tight on floor space. Still need to store all your gear somewhere. Rogue makes some folding wall-mounted racks too, which are great for a garage or empty room. roguefitness.com/catalogsearch/

I'll keep this in mind if I ever move to a smaller place, but in principle it makes a lot of sense. Especially because the height most people need for chin ups is also nice bed length. Some taller Dutch people may have a problem with ceiling height though (typically 2.4 or 2.5m).

Why not support the weight of the mattress with two vertical bars (with holes)? That should allow spotter arms for much bigger weights.
