Looks like SF will be collecting the "fair share" from megacorps on behalf of the rest of the entire world. When does the rest of the world come to SF for its cut of the fair share? BTW, how dumb is this? Now big companies have to decide whether the small SF office is worth it.

I must misunderstand this law, because its an additional 0.1% in taxes if the CEO makes 100x more than the average employee. That really doesn't seem that hard to avoid, and it also doesn't seem like that much money.

Presumably, everyone is paid market wages so SF's justification for grift isn't clear. It's on global gross, not just SF profits. If every city did it, the companies would have nothing left. Why should SF be special?

But this only applies to companies headquartered in SF, right? Presumably a company only has one of those and would only pay the tax in one place? Agree taxing on gross feels wrong, but taxing net income means the CEO could reduce taxes by taking even higher pay
