As some of y'all know, I've been coding hands-free for a while now. I'll be releasing a blog post about it soon, but here's a quick sneak peak!
(Sound on plz! 🔊)
I should also say: this is sort-of a best-case scenario. I edited out a mistake, and I chose some code that paired well with dictation. In reality it's slower/clumsier than this.
But I'm getting faster with it every day!
[Alt: A screen recording of some code, wherein I build a React component using a handful of vocal commands, and an eye-tracker.]
It's a hard clip to describe, but I'll have more info soon in a blog post!
For folks wondering why I’m doing this: because I need to! I have a surprisingly-resilient RSI, in both arms. This is the only way I can use computers for more than a few minutes at a time.
Thankfully, it’s working out alright =)
Might want to get an MRI to look for any issues going back to the spine. Could also go to a carnivore diet to eliminate food as a source of inflammation.
Yeah, for a while they thought it was a herniated disk, but an MRI ruled that out. I've also tried a couple strong prescription anti-inflammatories, and they didn't seem to have any effect.
I'll look into diet though, thanks!
