Honestly, the voting age should probably be raised to 30, along with the minimum age to join the military. If you are not competent to give consent to have sex at 16, what makes you competent to vote? Have you seen TikTok? You want these people voting?

We must engage more young people in the political process. I support 2 measures to do so: SF Prop G reduces voting age to 16 (vote16sf.org) CA Prop 18 allows 17 years olds to vote in primary if they’ll turn 18 by the general (yeson18.vote) Yes on both!

That assumes that people see voting as instrumental to promoting good policymaking. But in a relativist mindset, there is no "good policy", and thus voting turns into a tool supposed to define "good" and "bad".

1/2 Tiktok people are like 16-18. So it certainly shouldn't be 30 because there's some smart people out there. Lets use 20. Even at 20 a small % of people who aren't competent will even vote. Also, what % of these political figures make informed decisions?

Interesting topic: On the same token, what about a maximum age? Do people stop caring about the future and focus on solely maximizing the present after a certain point?
