Btw, what evidence is there that it was a scam? Founder had no vesting, which was known to all, he sold his position as was his right. If the founder’s incentives weren’t aligned with investors, that’s on the investors. Wasn’t this entirely predictable and priced in?

It was not known to all that he would dump.

He’s allowed to change his mind though. A promise isn’t a contract. He might have meant it at the time. If people cared, they would have offered him some consideration or there would have been some enforceable contractual lockup/vesting.
Sure but he was without a doubt dishonest and misleading. Whether that is a "scam" is subjective

I’m just taking your issue with the idea that everyone knew he would sell. He was pressed in this and promised not to.
I agree with the larger point: proof of vesting in defi should be enforced in code.
