... or, perhaps, we should be asking ourselves how nearly half the Country finds Trump to be even remotely suitable as President. We the people are to thank for the leaders we have. Not all of us haven chosen / voted for this reality, but we're in this together.

I don't think that's empirically true. In the US Clinton won popular vote despite being allegedly unloved and outside the US there is ample evidence of voting "against". In 2016 I bet on Trump. Not this year

Clinton vs Dole isn't that different from Trump vs Biden. Clinton and Trump are both extremely charismatic, which enables them to get away with everything and alone is probably worth at least 10 points.

It just shows that presidential election is a mascarade. The power isn’t in the hands of one president working for the interests of his voters, but in the hands of the oligarchs who catapulted that man into Oval Office, indifferent to whether he’s Democrat or Republican or Eskimo
