Taking money from a rolling fund would be my last choice. If I can get a decent VC fund or high quality angel to invest I will. I don’t want a bunch of randos building an index fund on my cap table. That won’t ever be helpful. Meaningful skin in the game = incentive alignment

Depends on how desperate you are for the capital and what the value of giving a bunch of randos exposure is. If they’re more likely to be customers and shill for you, you could look at it as marketing spend, cheap user research pool, with potentially some competitive blocking.
