We should view government as the service provider of last resort. If you can't afford private education & security, you have public schools and police. Problem is government charges us for its services even when we don't want them, reducing our financial ability to choose.

Instead of auto-buying these services for people, you could give them a stipend and let them choose which private service they're going to spend it on. Gov collecting taxes to pay for services doesn't mean they need to provide the services themselves. In fact, it's a conflict.

I agree with this line of thought. There could even be some marketplace for tokens/options/whatever that represent possible access to a certain private service (education, security, health, ... )
The gov provides legal representation when it is charging you, which you would only take as a last resort. Would be better to get the cash and buy your own lawyer. I'm happy to pay in to natl disease prevention of some kind but maybe there's a more competent provider.
