We should view government as the service provider of last resort.
If you can't afford private education & security, you have public schools and police.
Problem is government charges us for its services even when we don't want them, reducing our financial ability to choose.

Give every kid $15k/yr, charge $15k/yr for public school, let the kid choose which school to attend. At worst, you get a public education. Maybe you can pay a little more for something better, or maybe even a little less for something better private.

Instead of auto-buying these services for people, you could give them a stipend and let them choose which private service they're going to spend it on.
Gov collecting taxes to pay for services doesn't mean they need to provide the services themselves. In fact, it's a conflict.

Curious what happens in a hypothetical where my private police have a dispute with your public police?

You can have both, and the private police would have to give way to the public police, provided the public police are doing their duty and not breaking the law.
The demand on public police would be greatly reduced if people had a stipend to buy private help.

That would be a convenient solution for an unnecessary evil.
So governments would send us monthly notices for...
- do you opt in our security
- do you opt in our education
When there is mass exodus, politicians are like
- do you opt my position in
😂😂😂😂
