2/3 Cost to mine gold in space might be high today but will decrease over time. Why does it matter if we store the space gold in space until it's purchased for use in jewelry, electronics, etc? There will be 2 prices for gold: on-world and off-world (delivery fee/time).

3/3 If aliens showed up on Earth with gold, would you accept it for payment without knowing how much gold they've extracted, what it costs them to mine it? You wouldn't because you would have to assume they've got infinite gold and a crash is imminent. You would accept #BTC

Yep realistically, alien civilisations are likely going to have a competing #bitcoin-like money (assuming similar stage of civilisation). But at least we’ll be weaned off shiny yellow rocks in the near future, so bribing humanity becomes a bit more complex

An interesting example of a situation where incompatibility could be of huge benefit. Storing wealth in universal element 79 (which anything in the universe has access to) vs a money unique to our own planet. Yet another win for #bitcoin
