More Texas, less taxes. When the landlord increases rent by $1m/yr, you start to question whether you're really getting what you're paying for. More people are moving. Uncapped progressive income tax is highly problematic. CA should set a cap or regress after some point.

I’ve never understood why we don’t simply have sales tax as the only form of tax. Zero paper work. Taxes consumption fairly. Would free up so much time and mindpower on more important things.

Sales tax + UBI seems like a great combo for an economy to me. If people think it’s too regressive they can expand the definition of what is considered sales to include income. Wouldn’t need to file taxes.

If enough frustrated CA folks would connect the dots between their ideologies and the outcomes, then CA could be fixed. Anyway, as a Texan I say welcome...just try to leave the dysfunctional ideologies behind if you’re moving here.

I really don’t think it’s about taxes for Joe, it doesn’t hurt but I think the excessive lockdowns and other infringements on freedom are a bigger deal for him
