re: #TaxCABillionaires CA has the highest taxes in the nation. CA could raise more money by reducing taxes. Counter-intuitive but when you reduce fees, volume increases. The rich are fleeing CA because of high taxes. Unbundle the government. Let's see what we're paying for.

Seattle on the other hand: beautiful (the emerald city), zero taxes, clean and lower cost of living (especially if you want to have a family and own a house). Plus a job market as thriving as the Bay Area, without the Silicon Valley (HBO) level ridiculousness. I left, you should.

I think this is a little unfair; at the state level the policies are very libertarian and they apply to the entire state, including Seattle: legalized marijuana, gun ownership (shall issue), gay marriage, no income tax. I agree, though, that city politics are bad.
