. and other employees are allowed to have their own ideas about what constitutes a good investment. We have a lot of people at the company with different ideas. So long as it doesn't interfere with their work, we don't regulate their personal opinions.

They may just leave the freedom of choice to the individual, while advocating their own personal opinion to varying degrees. You may want to try that yourself

Not sure this is even an opinion: held as business dev actively shit talking products that the company he works for enables their customers to buy and sell. Is it ok if I too advocate my 'opinion'? It's not an opinion though so much as a fact.
