Been thinking about this problem. There are more and more alternatives for education but testing and credentialing are not keeping up. It's a real problem to be able to prove you know something. Where can I go to get random skills competently tested and earn my verifiable badges?

I respectfully **strongly** disagree. To many of us “Learning disabled” kids w/ lousy grades & crappy teacher recommendations they are our only lifeline. True, we may struggle with them as well. But sometimes one can show a C-average student in the >95% percentile on such a test. twitter.com/AndrewYang/sta…

Makes the hiring experience better on both sides. Similar problem is doing KYC over and over with different financial service providers. Would be better to do it once and save everyone from repeating work with every new counterparty/interview.

Regarding the hiring process, I don't think a badge system will make any difference. If you want to hire great people with great talent, your brand can do half of the job, and your hiring team should do the rest.

You can't convert a human skills into a spreadsheet that will filter from best to less good. Human judgment is subjective when it comes to quantifying a level of skill. A test isn't natural, as the human brain functions under different environment, so the performance is effected

Many people get rejected for a position because they got stressed. Which is stupid, but fine. If a candidate gets stressed, I believe the recruiter should resign 😁. A recruiter who isn't able to get the best out of a candidate, is a recruiter who isn't able to hire the best.
