I wear a mask & encourage them. Eric doesn’t want to wear one. That’s Eric’s own business, not mine! You have no right to use force to make him wear something because we think it’s a good idea. If we don’t like that risk then that’s on us to mitigate. That’s called freedom.

If we can't force people to wear masks, can we force them to wear anything at all? What happens to public transportation when bare-ass dudes are bouncing their sweaty summer nuts all over the subway seats? Can public services have a "no shirt, no shoes, no service" policy too?

I think most of it is solved by private companies owning the spaces - malls etc. I think Canada & some other places have areas were at least partial nudity is allowed - I wonder if it would cause many problems -

Maybe it’s generally self regulating? - not that many people genuinely want to go that far out of the norm & especially with social ostracism & banning from private establishments - probably wouldn’t be worse than most cities
