Love the Hey.com concept and UX. Happy to pay $100/yr to have some control back over my feed/inbox. Unfortunately, without e2e encryption, the threat faced by all data custodians remains. The only way to save your users is to not have the data in the first place.

hey.com/security/ overblows the difficulty of supporting E2E and downplays the risks.
Just imagine if only Gmail<>Gmail was E2E encrypted. Wouldn't that be a massive improvement?
