PayPal supporting #Bitcoin will be amazing for adoption, however, don't expect PP to change their policies on account closures. They're still a centralized choke point and the government will continue to commandeer the financial system for extrajudicial sanctions. Not your keys..

Absolutely. For chrissakes, don't leave more coin on Kraken than you need for your activity. If we get a legit government order to close your account and hand over the coins, you can say goodbye to your precious savings. Great thing about crypto is you can self custody.

Very true, but that would be the same for all exchanges across US then. Would happen both to Conbase, Kraken, Gemini, CashApp, Swan Bitcoin etc at the same time. I don't think it will happen! Just saying if they want to stop Bitcoin trade it would be on all platforms.

And just want to add on that IF that was to happen, then the trade would continue on the black market AND the price would go up. That ALWAYS happens when a commodity becomes illegal. Just look at drugs. And alcohol during prohibition.

Yeah, the price of drugs is up but if I were hoarding cocaine with the anticipation of it becoming illegal and skyrocketing in price, I'd then be stuck with the risk of selling it without going to prison/getting killed. I think I'd rather have my free trading than my gains.
ahem... I didn't say to hoard Bitcoin only for the reason of expecting it to become illegal, right? I am saying that a ban does ZERO worry me....
