Tear gas and rubber bullets should be banned, period. No room for these type of weapons used against protestors or anyone else. Tear gas is a weapon of war, it should have no place in our city. Listen to the nurses and doctors, ban it.

All for banning use of these by a city's police, against its own residents. Could be a case for using them against an invading force but maybe there are superior alternatives in that event.
Let's make sure that the cops don't replace these toys with something even worse.
Have those been used in SF? I’ve observed Occupy Oakland, which turned quite violent. Don’t recall any of the above being deployed. It wasn’t white glove either, but no one went French Gendarmerie style on the rioters.
