There's seemed to be a group of people at a small distance throwing things at him, he then ran at one with the sword, they ran away and then he was mobbed by the rest? I think his bad decision was to go out there with a sword, though I get he wanted to protect his livelihood

Agree on everyone needing to make better decisions but attacking people and killing people is not necessarily wrong -- it depends on the circumstances. Is it to protect your own life and property against other people trying to take those things from you?
