Worker at Tesla's Fremont plant told me: “We’re extremely frustrated, angry, scared, that Elon is putting his cars before his workers."
Conversation
I heard that other workers are extremely grateful to have a job and be back at work, and that they appreciate Elon taking on the personal risk in order to save their factory. I also heard that employment in California is at-will and people who don't like having a job can quit.

You heard that firsthand or just a figure of speech?

Getting arrested might actually serve his long-term interests, but I have no idea how he thinks.

I got a tour of this factory a few years ago and the density of people was very low -- a fraction of what you encounter at a grocery store these days. Restaurants are high risk because you have people without masks constantly opening their mouths in a small space for hours.
