It depends. Do you care about having a million apps open at the same time or doing fewer things really fast?

I guess that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I’ve always been a believer in clock speed over cores.
Which model do you rock?

Also the 8 core has a higher turbo boost clock speed… which sounds like marketing. Unclear how relevant that is for regular data science work.
might not make a huge difference at the end of the day.. Every macbook I've used starts to thermal throttle before you really get to the upper limits of the processor

Ugh. Trying to decide if I even bother or just get a new Mac Pro.
