I am considering investing in certain emergency-related devices and consumables. I intend to sell at a 1000%+ profit, at a future date. The profit will reflect inflation, opportunity and carrying costs. Q: should I stock these supplies or will I be barred from making a profit?

1-Make sure your actions aren't creating scarcity during a crisis. 2-Place items for sale immediately & continuously at whatever price you want, even 10x or 20x cost. 3-No one will buy & people will laugh until 10x looks cheap. 4-Do not RAISE prices during time of future need!

Well not this 'now' of course, but a future one. :) I see 'gouging' as an abrupt change to an existing commercial relationship during a time of vulnerability. That's what gets people upset, since they come to rely on stable prices, even if not ensured by any contract.
