That's such an old school reference, and yes, I sold beanie babies on 1999 eBay for cashier's checks in the mail, all the while thinking "There just has to be a better way." I remember when it all moved to PayPal, saved that trip to the mailbox.

I remember receiving a money order for a Short Sword of Ykesha that my buddies and I would farm in EverQuest. You could get $200-$250 per sword back in '99, before selling game items were banned.

I just found this gem in my eBay feedback. I tried to sell a friend's EQ account in late '99 and the buyer backed out after winning the auction. Then he left this feedback.
