When they can’t even get the simple stuff right, why would one expect them to get the complex stuff right? To put government in charge of healthcare, education, helping the poor... why?

Thank god the US has so many billionaires who are capable of actually making intelligent decisions and effectively deploying capital to deliver results. The government, with infinite money, is absolutely helpless. Best case for low taxes.

So we rely on benevolent dictators? We have had centuries of feudalism, kings and emperor's, that didn't really work for the average person either, in fact less so.

Centralised money and power always gets abused, whatever format it's in. Devolving power and money systems out should be the aim for all humanity.
