Explain to me why we should spent taxpayer money to bailout companies (airlines) who spent their cash buying their own stock so the CEO gets optionality, instead of having a crisis buffer. We should bail out individuals based on needs, not corporations. #Moralhazard

The market has boom and bust cycles. Companies that build cash reserves lose in booms but capitalise in crashes when they can buy up competitors cheap. We need to keep that incentive structure and not bailout reckless governance

Many restaurants will not make it. Something the gov could do is allow 2020 losses to apply to 2019 taxes. Something we can do is order lots of takeout, buy gift cards, invest. Encourage owners to start GoFundMe for staff while everyone waits for some form of bailout.
