So, I'm not allowed to go out for a jog or hike? Where is the data supporting this level of isolation? Surely, I don't need to make a fake run to the supermarket just to get some fresh air?

Of course you can go for a jog or hike. Just keep in mind that the person running the opposite direction may have left some COVID19 in his wake. So hold your breath for 20 seconds after passing him.
