So, I'm not allowed to go out for a jog or hike? Where is the data supporting this level of isolation? Surely, I don't need to make a fake run to the supermarket just to get some fresh air?

I think jogging and hiking are fine. They have been. Stay At Home means "as opposed to going to an office or anywhere else you feel like."
Outside exercise that doesn't involve contact with a lot of other people is fine, as far as I know.

You're allowed to jog/hike/walk your dog/do outdoor yoga or whathaveyou, as long as you maintain 6ft distance while doing so. You can go to the store. You can takeout/pickup from restaurants provided they're open.
It's social distancing, not house arrest/"illegal to go outdoors"
