Clients gave up all their privacy when they signed up for the exchange. Also everyone who has read Snowden's book will tell you that if these people have facebook account or a smartphone, which is probably 99.9% of them they have no privacy. Want privacy -> stack in Wasabi wallet
I think there can be privacy implications for users whether it's an omnibus or segregated model b/c proof of reserves requires a corresponding proof of liability, but would need more details to give a direct answer
It's a different kind of privacy. Exchanges know about you, but revealing the keys means many many people, not just the exchange with which you have a business relationship, will be able to track your coins and balances.
Are you talking about deposit addresses that then sweep into your hot/cold wallets? It’s a pretty trivial task to find out what all your public keys are on transparent chains
Agree, the privacy implications are no worse than an exchange which does this kind of thing (sweeping deposits into known cold/hot wallets). People seem to be generally fine with this practice, so they ought to be fine with an off-chain publication too.
